ACCORD personnel are people who have been specifically selected and trained to deliver this service. They fully understand male and female fertility.  These practitioners use this knowledge and training to inform, educate and support individuals and couples with regard to their fertility and those who are experiencing infertility.

The method used by the Fertility Awareness Counsellors in ACCORD is called the sympto-thermal method. The sympto-thermal method combines the use of basal body temperature and cervical mucus along with other signs.  The most important of the other signs is the position and the softness/firmness of the cervix.  It takes time to become familiar with and to recognise the signs of ovulation and the support of a properly trained Fertility Awareness Counsellor is extremely important.
