quality and standards

ACCORD is committed to excellence in its work practices.    We achieve this goal by adherence to a twofold principle – the client first and respect for the individual.   It is always our goal to meet and exceed our clients' needs and expectations.

We ensure principles of good practice with a robust selection process, ongoing training, together with support and supervision of our personnel.

ACCORD is committed to delivering quality services in an accessible and appropriate manner.   By working towards quality in all its dimensions, we will consistently offer a safe place to all who come to us seeking to reach their potential in their marriage and family relationships.

In order to meet and continually improve our quality commitment, ACCORD has adopted the positive quality management system PQASSO, a programme specifically designed for the voluntary sector.

This is a straightforward quality assurance system which helps us to run our organisation effectively and efficiently.   It helps us to take a systematic look at what we do, and to decide exactly where improvements are needed.

PQASSO has been designed to be user friendly and helpful to organisations and people such as ourselves who are motivated by strong values.   Quality and the continuous improvement of all activity has a particular importance in this sector, which is distinguished by its variety, independence, its conscience and its drive to change things for the better.

PQASSO seeks to reflect those voluntary sector values while also giving practical tools to help organisations consistently improve what we do.

Our PQASSO system, Client Charter, Code of Ethics & Practice, together with supervision of the work of our personnel, form the basis of our commitment to quality.
